![]() This is a reference code to demonstrate how HTML page can be used in native apps to store the card details in a mobile browser autofill.Įvery time when we perform a guest checkout on merchant website, the browser identifies the card details and offers to save the card details. Unfortunately there is no open API available in iOS & Android by which we can store the card details directly in browser's autofill storage. To avoid that we need some way by which we can directly store the card details to browser's autofill storage. This step still requires manual entry of the card details to browser autofill settings and to perform that user need to switch multiple times between issuer app and browser settings. The solution to the above issue is, if user store the card details in browser autofill, after that whenever they go to a guest checkout page on any merchant site, their browser will offer to autofill their card details. They have to swap multiple times between the mobile banking app where they read card details and the merchant website or app where they manually enter them in. Today, consumers who have a digital card in their mobile banking app on a mobile device and want to use it for eCommerce on that same device are forced to go through a sub-optimal User Experience.
